First major order on German giant turbine

Onshore turbines with a wing span of 149 meters will power a Google data center.

German Nordex has received a turnkey order of 81 MW from French developer Neoen. The developer has ordered 18 turbines from the German company's 4 MW platform, which will make up the Finnish farm Hedet, and will used to power one of Google's data centers. Once the turbines have been put into operation, the manufacturer will be in charge of maintenance for 15 years.
