Ørsted hires old friends in the Netherlands

The utility's former installation company will install 100 Siemens Gamesa wind turbines on Dutch farm Borssele 1 and 2 projects.

After several years in deficit, Ørsted and Siemens Wind Power divested of their jointly owned installation company A2Sea, purchased by Belgium GeoSea. However, there does not seem to be any bad blood between the parties, as the Danish utility has now entered a deal with the Belgian company to charter one of A2Sea's vessels for the installation of 94 Siemens Gamesa turbines at Dutch wind farms Borssele 1 and 2, announced Ørsted.
