Vattenfall buys new Swedish project

Utility Vattenfall is taking over a Swedish development. It happens to be a short distance from the huge project which the Swedish Utility, Vestas and pension fund PKA invested millions in earlier this year.

The increased investment on Swedish onshore wind continues for Vattenfall. Just one month after the utility bought the 125 MW Klevberget project, it announced the acquisition of the Vargträsk project from Nordic Vindkraft. This project has received environmental approval for up to 21 turbines, which translates to approximately 80 MW, approximately one quarter more than planned.
