MHI Vestas is starting to settle its setup in Taiwan. Monday, the joint venture entered a localization agreement with Danish infrastructure fund and wind energy developer Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), which selected the model V164 for its three projects in the island state. Tuesday, this is manifesting in the form of a conditional contract for locally produced turbine towers. The manufacturer has nominated Korean producer CS Wind, which has entered a joint venture with Taiwan-based Chin Fong, informs MHI Vestas in a press statement.
