Siemens Gamesa and Vestas creates "hot or not" standardization list

The turbine manufacturer is launching a "hot or not" list evaluating potential areas for standardization. The production of nacelles is not one of them.

The wind turbine industry will need to find out where its future savings will come from. Therefore three of the industry's heavyweights, Siemens Gamesa, Vestas and MHI Vestas, have launched a joint venture under Megavind, which identifies where collaboration and standardization in the value chain could create value for offshore wind.
