Ørsted enters local Taiwan partnership

The energy company has signed a big contract with a local turbine foundation manufacturer for its Taiwanese project Greater Ghanghua, indicating that coming projects will be served by the same supplier.

Yet another substantial link of the supply chain has been welded into place in preparation for Ørsted's Greater Ghanghua offshore wind project in Taiwan. The energy company is ordering 56 jacket foundations for its 900 MW project from China Steel Corporation's Taiwanese subsidiary, Sing Da Marine Structure. The wind farm is expected to be in installation phase until 2021.
