E.ON shows strong growth in profit and operating result

German utility E.ON improved its operating and net earnings by 11 percent and 25 percent, respectively, in the first nine months of the year, shows the company's quarterly report Wednesday morning.

German energy company E.ON grew its earnings before interest and taxes by 11 percent in the first nine months of 2018, and the utility's bottom line improved 25 percent compared to the same period last year. However, revenue declined by 13 percent, shows E.ON's Q3 interim report published Wednesday morning.
