GE gains access to courted wind market

The US wind turbine manufacturer has secured an order for 122 MW through a partnership with a state-owned oil company.

Yet another wind turbine manufacturer is entering the Argentinian wind energy market. US General Electric has along with Argentinian YPF Luz signed an agreement to invest USD 144 million in the installation of Los Teros Wind Farm at 122 MW capacity, consisting of 32 GE 3.83 MW turbines. Construction of the facility, located at Azul in the Buenos Aires region, is planned to begin in November.
