Ørsted after disappointment in Taiwan: We are putting things on hold
Neither Ørsted nor a series of other offshore wind developers have had success in landing a PPA in Taiwan, meaning 2018's high subsidy levels are no longer attainable. The Danish wind energy major is now reconsidering its projects in the country.

Ørsted and a number of other offshore wind energy developers failed to secure a power purchase agreement (PPA) in Taiwan with the state-owned Taipower prior to the deadline's expiry on Wednesday, confirms Ørsted in a stock exchange notice Wednesday afternoon.
