GE to install its first 12 MW wind turbine

The US manufacturer will install a prototype of its Haliade-X wind turbine this summer at a Dutch test site at the Port of Rotterdam.

One bit of major news within the wind turbine production industry is often followed by another. On the same day that Siemens Gamesa announces its 10 MW machine, GE reveals that it will install a prototype of its coming 12 MW model, Haliade-X.
