China boosts wind turbine installations as three suppliers maintain dominance

China again takes the title as the world's largest wind turbine market, but the ten largest wind turbine manufacturer's operating in China are all Chinese.

China remains the world's largest market for wind turbine sales after having installed combined capacity of 25.9 GW, 20.3 GW of which were connected to the country's power grid. Wind turbines with capacity totaling 19.66 GW were installed in 2017, although information on grid connection was not compiled at the time, show figures from Chinese Wind Energy Association (CWEA), according to sector media Recharge News.
