Vestas intends to sneak big turbine into Germany

Through transforming the German wind sector's highest hurdle into an advantage, the wind turbine manufacturer has designed its new platform to glide rapidly and inaudibly into Europe's largest market.

The wind energy industry is like any other competitive sport: Victory is achieved through size and speed. Wind turbine manufacturers seldom underplay this fact, nor does Vestas with the presentation of its new EnVentus platform, launched last week. Beyond the fact that it, with a capacity rating of 5.6 MW, is de facto the most powerful machine on the market, it will be put into serial production as soon as next year.
