1MW battery planned for Danish Baltic island

The Technical University of Denmark has received a grant of EUR 2.55 million to install a grid-connected battery, the hitherto largest of its kind in Denmark, and it will be tested on the Baltic island of Bornholm.

The Danish energy regulator has granted the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) DKK 19 million (EUR 2.55 million) to pursue its project titled "Bornholm Smartgrid Secured - by grid connected battery systems", or BOSS for short, says DTU in a press statement.
