Vestas first 150-diameter rotor turbine starts spinning

The wind turbine manufacturer's 4.2 MW prototype preceding its newest EnVentus platform has been put into operation at a Danish test center.

Vestas' 150-diameter rotor wind turbine prototype, the model V150-4.2, entered operation and churned out its first electrons on Jan. 14 at Danish test center Østerild. The 200-meter tall unit was installed in late December last year, Vestas informs on Twitter.
