Ørsted locks into Taiwan engagement

After having stood firm ground in the struggle with Taiwan's authorities and their feed-in-tariff rate reduction, the Danish wind major is now leaving competitors in the dust, announcing itself ready to begin construction on the Changhua facility in May.

The first two stages of Ørsted's Taiwanese offshore wind farm Greater Changhua are now unambiguously firm. Tuesday, the Danish energy company made its final investment decision for Changhua 1 and 2a, with a combined effect of 900 MW, Ørsted informs in a stock exchange notice.
