Pressured manufacturer to work around the clock

Dutch foundation manufacturer Sif improves ongoing operations but continues to be strained. The past year's low production will soon be upscaled, asserts CEO.

Dutch Sif Group is seeing light at the end of the monopile tube. The foundation manufacturer increased production in the first quarter of the year, when, besides the much delayed production for Borssele 3+4 – which was to set be finished in December – production of monopiles and transistion peices (TPs) has begun for the Belgian wind farm Seamade as well as Triton Knoll, where production is taking place in a joint venture with Smulders.
