Vineyard Wind gives major order to Prysmian

Italian cable manufacturer Prysmian will supply a subsea cable system to a US offshore wind project in a deal valued at around EUR 200 million.

US-based wind developer consortium Vineyard Wind – a joint venture between Denmark's Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) and Iberdrola subsidiary Avangrid Renewables – has nominated Prysmian to supply cables to transmit power from the offshore facility to the US mainland. The deal is worth EUR 200 million, Prysmian informs in a statement.
