Wind turbine manufacturers form Africa task force

A new task force aims to secure the manifestation of a larger part of Africa's 33 GW in new wind capacity potential over the next ten years.

Things are moving forward each day. However, even though increasing levels of wind power are being installed in Africa, the current rate is far from sufficient to achieve the 33 GW in potential wind capacity up to 2028, as projected by Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC). Last year, 962 MW in wind capacity were added – yet again less than 1 GW.
