Siemens Gamesa's 2 GW order close to being ready

The Egyptian government is ready to finalize negotiations with the wind turbine manufacturer on a long-awaited major project after lowering of tariffs, writes media.

On this day four years ago, Siemens signed its largest order yet. But while the fossil part of the Egyptian megaproject was declared finished as early as last year with the establishment of three power plants with a combined effect of 14.4 GW, the last part of the agreement – wind projects of 2 GW – has been moving slowly. But now, the Egyptian government is said to be ready to finalize those negotiations as well, writes Daily News Egypt.
