India plans 500 GW in renewable capacity by 2030

India has set a new target to install 500 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030 as a part of the nation's efforts to mitigate climate change, informs Anand Kumar, a senior official at India's renewable energy ministry, in a statement, according to local news agency Press Information Bureau.
