Biggest US offshore wind tender commences

In Connecticut's first tender exclusively targeting offshore wind, up to 2 GW are at stake.

Connecticut has already allocated its first offshore wind project. Last year, Ørsted's Revolution Wind was allotted 304 MW in a tender also including a number of other energy technologies. Now, meanwhile, developers have the opportunity to multiply capacity in the federal state's first dedicated offshore wind tender, in which bids for up to 2 GW will be received until Sep. 30, as announced by Connecticut's Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP).
