Total buys wind developer

The French oil major celebrates its subsidiary's new name with the purchase of a local project developer and adds roughly 200 MW to its potential wind energy portfolio.

Last year, Total took over French project developer Quadrian through its major purchase of utility Direct Energie. That relationship will be formalized from next month, when the company is renamed Total Quadrian – an occasion that will not only be hallmarked with the appointment of new Chief Executive Thomas Muller as well as adding a project pipeline of around 200 MW, Total informs Monday in connection with its takeover of Vents d'Oc.
