Swedish hydrogen project injected with millions

The Swedish state, Vattenfall and other partners take yet another step toward fossil-free steel production with the launch of a hydrogen project.

Sweden plans to produce CO2-neutral steel on an industrial scale from 2035. That is the aim of three industrial players backing Hybrit – an initiative seeking to utilize hydrogen to replace coal with renewable energy in the production of steel from iron ore.
