Equinor to halve the price of floating wind using volume

Reducing the cost of floating offshore wind will require volume, says Equinor. The Norwegian oil giant is now scouting for ideal areas for the world's first large-scale commercial floating wind facility.

Equinor is firmly committed to drive down costs of floating offshore wind power by building large-scale facilities at a minimum of 200 MW, says Equinor project manager Anne Marit Hansen to Norwegian media Teknisk Ukeblad.
