Vattenfall builds its first floating solar farm
The Swedish utility will act as the main developer of a project in the Netherlands entailing a floating photovoltaic facility built upon ponds and pools left over from years of sand and gravel extraction.

Swedish Vattenfall is set begin installation of its first floating solar farm in December in the Dutch province of Gendringen. The facility will have a combined capacity of 1.2 MW, Vattenfall informs in a press statement.
