Wind opponent arrested in US for shooting at surveyors

A neighbor to a US wind farm has been arrested for shooting a firearm at planning personnel carrying out land measurements.

Opposition to onshore wind projects is hardly a new phenomenon, but at a project site near Marion, Kansas, such resistance has taken to a new level. Thursday afternoon, a 46-year old woman was arrested for having shot a firearm at surveyors conducting land measurements in preparation for the development Expedition Wind, reports local newspaper Marion County Record.
