US might extend RE tax credits

The wind energy industry could have a nice Christmas present waiting in store, as the US might prolong the tax credit subsidy schemes for a range of renewable energy technologies by one year.

The US' tax rebate support systems for wind, photovoltaic solar and energy storage etc. could be extended by one year in a broad, bipartisan tax bill agreed to Monday by the House of Representatives and the Senate, inform three sources familiar with the matter, according to Bloomberg News.
