German wind tender filled to the brim

After six consecutive tenders with increasingly fewer subscribers, the latest round suddenly sees a full house – without prices dropping significantly.

The last six German onshore wind tenders were very quiet indeed, but now there's suddenly commotion. 76 bids were made in the December tender, three times as many as in the last round, while bidders subscribed to a total of 685.84 MW, 37 percent more than the tendered pool of 500 MW, states the German Federal Network Agency (Bundesnetzagentur, BNetzA).
