GE consolidates throne in US

Siemens Gamesa won third-place on the US market again in 2019, doubling its market share, while GE looks to be incredibly strong in the near future.

For the second consecutive year, General Electric claims the throne in the US. With a market share of 45 percent, the US-based wind turbine manufacturer also consolidates its position in light of last year, when its share was nearly 40 percent. Conversely, the firm's closest competitor, Vestas, dropped from 38 percent in 2018 to 33 percent in 2019 – the company's smallest share since 2015 – shows a report by the American Wind Energy Association (AWEA).
