MHI Vestas gets thumbs up for 300 MW

CIP and China Steel Corporation have formally signed a preferred supplier deal with MHI Vestas for the Chong Neng facility. The offshore wind OEM is now in line to deliver its 9.5 MW turbines to three Taiwanese installations with a combined capacity of 900 MW.

One of the pages in MHI Vestas' back catalog has just been embellished. Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), in its joint venture with China Steel Corporation (CSC), has now formally signed an agreement making the offshore wind turbine manufacturer preferred supplier to deliver its hardware to the 300 MW Chong Neng wind facility, CIP informs in a press statement.
