Wind industry plays down virus fears

China will remain the world's biggest market this year and global consequences of the coronavirus will be minimal, say industry organizations, although they predict Chinese delays and potential outsourcing to India.

Both the Chinese and global wind industries will be feeling the consequences of the coronavirus. But if it is contained soon, the effects won't be colossal, the Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC) and the Chinese Wind Energy Association (CWEA) conclude, in an update based on consultations with a number of main industry players, among other factors.
