Offshore wind developer drops German demo project

The project was meant to feature the world's first monobuckets installed at a commercial offshore wind farm. But now Canadian developer Northland Power has decided to drop its demonstration project plans at Deutsche Bucht, where two of the Aalborg-based, Fred Olsen-owned Universal Foundations' turbine bases were supposed to have been installed, the developer informs in a statement.
