GWEC to politicians: Look beyond LCOE

Renewable energy utilization must be improved, and politicians must think beyond mere prices and instead address system optimization, writes trade association in a new report.

The Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE) is typically the measurement unit that gets the most attention in the wind power industry, as it expresses a project's total costs relative to electricity generation. Now, however, the Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC) urges politicians to focus their attention elsewhere.
