Ireland expedites offshore wind

Statkraft and Fred Olsen's Irish offshore wind projects are among the 3.5 GW that the Irish government has decided to expedite in order to reach its 2030 target.

The Irish government expedites the permit processes on seven offshore wind projects. Among these projects are Statkraft's project North Irish Sea Array of up to 530 MW roughly seven kilometers off coastal town Rush north of Dublin as well as Codling 1&2 of approximately 1 GW, owned by Fred Olsen Renewables and EDF, informs the Irish government.
