Ørsted flexes muscles with US solar acquisition

With an investment from Wells Fargo, Ørsted buys further into its role as a solar company in US, taking over an upcoming plant with hundreds of megawatts.

Ørsted's business expansion toward renewable energy on land takes another step. The Danish utility acquires solar project Muscle Shoals of 227 MWac in US state Alabama from US developer Longroad Energy. With this transaction, a financial decision is made on the project, which is expected operational during the third quarter next year.
