GE's order book dwindles

The US-based industrial conglomerate's renewable energy unit received around 20 percent fewer orders in the second quarter of 2020 relative to Q2 last year. The power generation division took an even harder blow.

Between April and July, General Electric Renewable Energy (GERE) took in new orders worth roughly USD 3 billion – down 19 percent against USD 3.6 billion from the same period last year, shows GE's Q2 interim report, published Wednesday.
