Ørsted secures aid for hydrogen project

The German federal government provides subsidy for hydrogen project with participation by players including EDF, Ørsted and Thyssenkrupp. The plan is to establish an electrolysis plant of 700 MW.

Funding has been secured for Northern Germany's so-called test lab for green hydrogen, Westküste 100. The Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy has green-lighted subsidies of EUR 30 million for the project, which has a total budget of EUR 89 million, states the consortium behind Westküste 100.
