SSE bags over GBP 60m from divesting Ørsted wind farm

After more than ten years co-owning a British offshore wind farm, SSE bags GBP 61 million more than the original purchase price from a divestment that will release funds for establishing upcoming giant projects.

The world's – between April and September 2012 – biggest offshore wind farm gets a new co-owner. British utility SSE is selling its stake of 25.1 percent in Ørsted-operated plant Walney to investment company Greencoat, the company states.
