Maersk's wind subsidiary cautiously enters golden niche market

Through acquisitions, KK Wind Solutions is expanding, among other things, its opportunities on the lucrative service market. However, the company is prepared to limit its offerings to avoid stepping on the toes of wind OEMs.

Two and a half years back, the last wind turbine made by Riisager was taken down, and even though its 22 kW would barely qualify today as a private household unit, the model was not only one of Denmark's first wind turbines to hit serial production: It was also that first model into which Kai F. Pedersen and Knud V. Jensen incorporated an electronic control system.
