Rapid green hydrogen development surprises Ørsted
Ten years from now, the price of green hydrogen will be cheaper than the fossil variants, the utility foresees. This, however, will require measures such as altered tariffs and other forms of public aid to help create both supply and demand simultaneously.
When it comes to energy technologies, hydrogen has assumed a role almost as prominent as the gas' placement on the periodic table. After having simmered under the surface for several years, the concept of green H2 in 2020 has become a basic element in every self-respecting national and international climate plan. In the meantime, a barrage of major companies have unveiled plans for large-scale developments.
