US offshore wind continues quietly

Another tender commences, while three states – including one that Donald Trump has excluded – band together to promote offshore wind. Ørsted expects to partake in "the vast majority" of tenders.

New York and New Jersey aren't the only US states currently holding tenders for large volumes of offshore wind. Alongside the larger states, Rhode Island has begun its second auction, which will add 600 MW to the 400 MW last year awarded to Danish utility Ørsted's project Revolution Wind. And Maryland is expected to allocate another 400 MW before the end of the year.
