Delayed Danish tender model addresses sector concerns

The wind industry takes a welcoming stance toward future tenders that, while not quite gilding coming projects, are certainly made more useful.

All good things come to those who wait – and there's been plenty of waiting for policy details on Denmark's coming technology-neutral renewable energy tender that a broad parliamentary majority ratified Tuesday. Even though the country's energy policy from 2018 stipulated that annual solicitations would be held, EU approval will not be in place before 2021, and only then may the auctions actually be held.
