Vestas' US orders declined 61 percent in 2020

Large orders in the final hours of 2020 placed Latin America on equal footing with the US for Vestas. Asia also became more important than ever for the OEM.

A few hours before New Year's, Vestas announced an order that made a big difference in several ways, first and foremost because with its 504 MW, the contract boosted the year's hitherto announced order bounty well past 15 GW and thereby ensured 2020's status as the second-best year measured in order intake.
