Wind sector celebrates sweeping US Democratic Party election triumph

The US election results, with democrats gaining a Senate majority, mark a fortunate turn of events for the wind sector.

Sustainability-inclined investors already started to preemptively bank on a Democratic Party victory in Georgia Wednesday, sending stocks like Vestas and Ørsted into the air, and the further significance for such green spearheads is huge, says Chief Executive Jan Hylleberg from Danish trade association Wind Denmark, whose members include both Siemens Gamesa and Vestas.
