Aker Horizons secures funding for offshore wind push

The Norwegian company raises more than half a billion euros through a private placement and a convertible bond issuance. The proceeds will finance last week's acquisition of a major Irish energy development firm.

Norwegian investor Kjell Inge Røkke continues his trek into the growing markets for offshore wind and other renewable energy by securing financing of last week's acquisition of Irish energy development firm Mainstream Renewable Power.
