Shell, Siemens Gamesa debut collaboration

The Crosswind consortium has nominated Siemens Gamesa to supply 11-MW turbines to its unsubsidized Dutch offshore wind development.

Siemens Gamesa has received an order for 759 MW for offshore wind project Hollandse Kust Noord, where the OEM will deliver 69 model SG 11-200 DD units to the zero-subsidy facility, under development by the Crosswind consortium consisting of Shell, owning 79.9 percent, and Eneco holding the remaining fifth. Installation is expected to both begin and conclude during 2023.
