Media: GE, Toshiba talk offshore wind partnership

The US-based wind turbine manufacturer is, according to a Japanese media, involved in a dialog with the conglomerate regarding local production of nacelles for the domestic market.

Japan's offshore wind market seems to be moving toward more cooperation between local and international heavyweights. Japanese media Nikkei writes based on anonymous sources that GE is in talks with Toshiba concerning a partnership, the purpose reportedly being to have GE's nacelles made at the conglomerate's factory in Yokohama.
