DTEK Renewables has placed a 126-MW order with Vestas.

The turbines will be deployed at project DTEK Tiligulska, set to commission in the second quarter of 2022.

Altogether, the OEM will deliver 21 model V162-6.0 MW units. The contract also entails a 20-year AOM 5000 service deal.

This is not the first time Vestas works with DTEK. The Danish company has previously supplied equipment to projects Botievska I and II, at 90 and 110 MW, respectively, as well as the 100-MW Orlivska development.

"The delivery of Ukraine’s first V162-6.0 MW turbines will be critical to the continued cost reduction for reliable, sustainable wind energy in the country and we’re pleased to be working with DTEK Renewables to accomplish that vision," writes Vestas President of Vestas Northern & Central Europe Nils de Baar in a media release.
