Iberdrola buys further into Japanese offshore wind

After the recent development pipeline purchase of 3 GW, the Spanish utility now signs on to co-develop a more mature project rated at 600 MW.

Japan will be one of the many markets in which Iberdrola will play a central role within offshore wind development, the Spanish power company said last autumn upon taking over developer Acacia Renewables' 3.3-GW project pipeline.
