The Dutch investment fund DIF will acquire 100 percent of two onshore wind projects in the Podlaskie and Wielkopolskie regions in Poland with a total capacity of 63 MW from the Swedish wind developer OX2, writes the latter in a press release.

With the projects set to be built, DIF will be investing through the construction of the projects. The wind projects, which will be equipped with Vestas V126 wind turbines and have already been developed, will be built in accordance under the terms of a tailored EPC contract provided by OX2.

With construction commencing immediately following the closing of the transaction, the projects are expected to be operational by the end of 2022.

Under the terms of a service agreement, OX2 will be responsible for the technical and commercial management of the wind projects. The total production is projected to reach 200 GWh annually, equivalent to the annual power consumption of 50,000 households.

"I am very happy to welcome DIF Capital Partners as a new partner with its extensive experience from long-term investments in renewable energy projects. Our partnership is a significant step in OX2’s ongoing expansion in Poland. It quadruples the amount of green energy that will be produced from the wind farms in Poland built by OX2," says Paul Stormoen, CEO of OX2.
